Dégustation Châteauneuf-du-Pape en bio et biodynamie au MuCEM

On Monday 30 January 2017, 18 organic or biodynamic wine-estates from Châteauneuf-du-Pape were at the iconic MuCEM museum in Marseilles to give a tasting of their latest vintages to wine professionals, a mix of importers, merchants, sommeliers and journalists.

With 25% of its wine growing area committed to certified organic and/or biodynamic methods, and 50% of the surface area of the AOC protected against leafrollers by pheromone traps, Châteauneuf-du-Pape clearly features among the most environment-friendly vineyards in France.

For a year now, the MuCEM museum, designed by internationally acclaimed architect Rudy Ricciotti, has been hosting a collection of ancient wine growing and wine-making objects and tools from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the result of a partnership between the prestigious wine Appellation and the Galerie de la Méditérrannée.

Visitors had the opportunity to taste the wines of the following estates: Domaine de Beaurenard, Domaine Duseigneur, Domaine Saint-Préfert, Domaine l’Or de Line, Domaine de la Graveirette, Domaine Berthet-Rayne, Domaine Santa Duc, Domaine de Marcoux, Domaine de Saint Paul, Domaine de La Millière  Domaine Giraud, Domaine Font de Michelle, Domaine de la Vieille Julienne, Domaine de la Mordorée, Domaine Porte Rouge,  Château de Manissy, Domaine Roche-Audran.
